Adoption is an incredible gift that anyone can give to a child who doesn't have a family to look after them for whatever reason. For a child, it can be a huge relief to be away from a situation that was no good for them, but what of the child that was adopted from birth and has no idea who their biological family are and why they were given up. It can leave them with so many questions and the sense that there is something significant missing for them.
This is the situation that faces the heroine for the second book in my Haunted by the Past series. She has the chance to meet her real mother and find out the answers to the questions that have burned for her since she was old enough to understand what being adopted really meant. She travels to Devon to take the opportunity to get to know the woman that gave birth to her, but she's in for a nasty surprise when she gets there!
Of course, there is a lot more to the story than meets the eye, including a mysterious ghostly child that suddenly keeps appearing to the heroine, who finds herself tossed into a life and death situation she didn't expect.
I am really enjoying exploring this concept. The characters are just leaping off the page for me. I will be posting a teaser excerpt in the next two or three weeks, so keep your eyes open!
Happy Reading!
